Level 1-24

The Neon Vault

Through the window, past the turning blade and the green pulse, into the cage round the loot. Then all the way back.

“Climb, time the blade, beat the pulse, reach in.”

Level 1-07

The Valley

Bars run wall to wall, every 25 cm, and dip into one smooth curve.

“Sink with the curve, crouch through the bottom, rise to the loot.”

Level 1-04

Metronomes

A field of pendulums over the bed, each swinging against its neighbours.

“Step through as they part.”

Level 1-06

Big Top

Six beams fan out from the middle of your ceiling, and the whole tent turns.

“Stand tall in the middle, duck as a beam sweeps by.”

Level 3-08

Blinking Forest

Red trees stay on. Green ones between them go dark, row by row.

“Ride the dark wave.”

Example rooms. Every level fits itself to the room you scan.

How it works

  1. Scan

Laser Thief reads your Meta Quest room scan: walls, sofa, table. L-shaped rooms work too.

  2. Mark

Set a start and a goal on your floor. The level bends along the way you can really walk.

  3. Steal

Duck, lean and step to the loot and back to the pad. Every level is checked to be possible at your height, in your room.

Colour tells you what a laser does

  • Red

Static. Doesn't move, always on. Never touch it.

  • Blue

Moves. Slides, swings or spins. Watch its rhythm, then slip through.

  • Green

Blinks. Flickers just before it comes back. Cross while it's dark.

  • Gold

Follows you. A hunter that slowly turns toward your body. Keep moving.

  • Slow frame

A scanner gate. Walk through slowly. Rush and it trips.

  • More lasers

Lift the loot and new lasers switch on. The way back is different.

Every 5th level is a gadget heist

  • Hammer from the game

    Hammer

Swing it for real to smash display cases and fuse boxes.

  • Cable cutters from the game

    Cable cutters

Follow a cable to its laser and snip it.

  • Smoke gun from the game

    Smoke gun

In the 15 blackout heists, only smoke shows you the lasers.

  • Security camera from the game

    Cameras

Being seen is fine. Moving while seen is not.

  • Fuse box from the game

    Fuse boxes

Smash the breakers and every cable from the box goes dead.

FAQ

What is Laser Thief 2.0?

A room-scale mixed reality and VR heist game for Meta Quest. Your real room fills with lasers, and you physically duck, dive and step through them to steal the loot and carry it back to the start pad.

When does Laser Thief 2.0 replace Laser Thief 1.0?

Laser Thief 2.0 replaces Laser Thief 1.0 in November 2026.

Which headsets does it run on?

Laser Thief is made for Meta Quest. On Quest 3 and 3S real objects, people and your own hands can hide the beams behind them. Quest 2 uses a head and hands estimate instead of inside-out body tracking. It also targets Meta VR Glasses, which go on sale in spring 2027.

How big does my room need to be?

Levels fit themselves to your scanned room, including L-shaped rooms and rooms with furniture, and small rooms are thinned out while every laser mechanic is kept. Without a scan you can play in a clear 2.25 to 3.75 metre square area.

Do I need controllers?

No. Hand tracking is used automatically when your hands are tracked, and controllers work too.

Is it mixed reality or VR?

Both. Mixed Reality plays in your real room through passthrough, and VR re-skins your room as the current story world. You can switch on the home screen.

How many levels and modes are there?

120 story levels across 5 worlds, plus Dancing Lasers, Bomb Run, Endless Heist and Free Mode.

Which languages are supported?

16 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Swedish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
